Summary
The Canadian Operational Support Detachment, undisclosed location, Southwest Asia, hosted a Remembrance Day service Nov. 11, 2013. Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day originated following the end of the first World War. The Armistice agreement was signed between Germany and the Allied Forces in Paris, Monday, Nov. 11, 1918 at 5 a.m. The cease fire went into effect at 11 a.m. the same morning.
