head were normal hut hydrocephaluswas suspected because of abnormally largefontanels. In each case the ventriculogramdemonstrated ventricles which ncarh filledthe cranial cliamber (Fig. 5). One of the most interesting diagnoses, made possible only through the ventriculo-gram, was in a colored child eight months old. The head was definitely larger thannormal, indicating the probability of aninternal hydrocephalus. Over the anteriorfontanel, but slightly to one side, was aprotruding tumor suggesting a meningo-cele, and this diagnosis had been made.Air injected into the lateral ventriclepassed directly into the tumor. In thelateral ventriculogram the tumor wasseen to arise from the greatly distendedventricle by a narrow neck (Fig. 6). Ananteroposterior ventriculogram showedthis communication to be unilateral. Thediagnosis of a ruptured cortex with a(false) ventricular hernia was established, and subsequently verified at necropsy. In another case a large cerebellar timior Ventriculography 35
