On account of this,adhesions are often present and act asguide-posts in the process of elimination.The chief seat of in\olvement is the head.This gives a slight displacement upwardsof the pylorus and presses it slightlyto the left. The caput assumes a moreor less horizontal position. The descending in the duodenum. On palpation it can beshown that the tumor mass is free fromthe stomach and that the mass does notmove with respiration. If situated m the body of the gland,the pars media of the stomach is the siteof the filling defect, and this is noted onthe greater curvature. The filling defect issmall or large, depending on the size ofthe cyst. It is smooth in appearance.
