Team Navy/Coast Guard team member Yeoman 1st Class Javier Rodriguez Santiago, assigned to Commander, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Transient Personnel Unit Administration Office describes the moving parts of his bike design to his son before the start of 2013 Warrior Games Cycling event, May 12. The Warrior Games includes competitions in archery, cycling, seated volleyball, shooting, swimming, track and field, and wheelchair basketball. The goal of the Warrior Games is not necessarily to identify the most skilled athletes, but rather to demonstrate the incredible potential of wounded warriors through competitive sports. More than 200 wounded, ill, or injured service members from the U.S. and U.K. armed forces are scheduled to compete in the Paralympics-style competition May 11-16.
