Starting at the river Hudson, let us pass over the RhinecliffBranch, which extends a distance of twenty-two miles from Rhine-cliff to a connection with the main line at Silvernails. Rhinecliff is on the east bank of the Hudson, sixteen miles northof the Great Bridge, and opposite the consolidated city of Kingstonand Rondout. By means of a steam ferry to the latter point con-nection is effected with the Ulster & Delaware Railroad to and fromall Catskill mountain points.
