KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- Following a successful landing, the crew of Endeavour exit the Crew Transport Vehicle and are greeted by NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin. First down the stairs is Commander Brent Jett. Behind him are Pilot Michael Bloomfield and Mission Specialists Joseph Tanner, Marc Garneau and Carlos Noriega. Garneau is with the Canadian Space Agency. On the 4.4-million-mile mission, Endeavour carried the P6 Integrated Truss Structure with solar arrays to power the International Space Station. The arrays and other equipment were installed during three EVAs that totaled 19 hours, 20 minutes. Endeavour was docked with the Space Station for 6 days, 23 hours, 13 minutes. This is the 16th nighttime landing for a Space Shuttle and the 53rd at Kennedy Space Center KSC-00pp1878

The STS-97 crew get a taste of the excitement of launch day as they exit the O&C Building to head for Launch Pad 39B. They are taking part in Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) activities that include emergency egress training and a simulated launch countdown. On the left (front to back) are Mission Specialists Carlos Noriega and Joe Tanner; on the right (front to back) are Commander Brent Jett, Pilot Mike Bloomfield and Mission Specialist Marc Garneau, who is a Canadian astronaut. Mission STS-97is the sixth construction flight to the International Space Station. Its payload includes the P6 Integrated Truss Structure and a photovoltaic (PV) module, with giant solar arrays that will provide power to the Station. The mission includes two spacewalks to complete the solar array connections. STS-97 is scheduled to launch Nov. 30 at 10:05 p.m. EST KSC-00pp1675

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In the White Room on Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, STS-119 Commander Lee Archambault is helped by the Closeout Crew to put on his harness. Archambault will enter space shuttle Discovery along with the other crew members to conduct a simulated launch countdown. The astronauts are at Kennedy to prepare for launch through Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test activities. The TCDT includes equipment familiarization and emergency egress training. Discovery is targeted to launch on the STS-119 mission Feb. 12. During the 14-day mission, the crew will install the S6 truss segment and solar arrays to the starboard side of the International Space Station, completing the station's truss, or backbone. STS-85 Payload Commander N. Jan Davis gives a thumbs up as she is assisted with her ascent/reentry flight suit in the Operations and Checkout (O&C) Building. She has logged nearly 400 hours in space on the STS-47 and STS-60 missions and holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering. Davis will have overall responsibility for the experiments conducted on STS-85. She will also deploy and retrieve the Cryogenic Infrared Spectrometers and Telescopes for the AtmosphereShuttle Pallet Satellite-2 (CRISTA-SPAS-2) free-flyer and operate the prototype Japanese robotic arm. The primary payload aboard the Space Shuttle orbiter Discovery is the CRISTA-SPAS-2. Other payloads on the 11-day mission include the Manipulator Flight Demonstration (MFD), and Technology Applications and Science-1 (TAS-1) and International Extreme Ultraviolet Hitchhiker-2 (IEH-2) experiments KSC-97PC1199
