Summary
Stereo card from the series Actualités Théatrales published in the 1860s. The image depicts a scene from the opera buffa La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein. The stereo card is a so called French tissue consisting of a hand colored albumen print mounted in a cardboard frame with tissue paper at the back. When the card is lit from behind the colors are visible. The copy of the card has been made by two different methods: by scanning on flatbed scanner and by photographing on a light box.
Svenska: Stereokort ur serien Actualités Théatrales utgiven på 1860-talet. Bilden föreställer en scen ur operetten Storhertiginnan av Gerolstein. Stereokortet är ett så kallat French tissue bestående av ett handkolorerat albuminfoto monterat i kartongram med tunt papper på baksidan. När kortet belyses bakifrån framträder färgerna. Kopian av kortet har framställts med två olika metoder: skanning på flatbäddsskanner och fotografering på ljusbord.
