Soldiers from the Army Reserve Engagement Team-Japan
Summary
Soldiers from the Army Reserve Engagement Team-Japan (ARET-J) and service members from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Reserve Component (JGSDF RC) pose for a group photo Sept. 8, 2015, at U.S. Army Japan’s Training Support Center in Sagami Depot, Japan. ARET-J invited JGSDF RC interpreter candidates to Sagami Depot to converse with native English speakers while learning how the Army Reserve supports USARJ’s training missions and bilateral partnerships. The candidates also familiarized themselves with a few of the U.S. Army’s individual weapon systems by participating in a series of shooting simulations generated by the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000, a computer-generated system that simulates modern land warfare engagements using movie studio quality props, graphics, lighting and sound effects.
