Anovelo da Imbonate was an Italian painter and manuscript illuminator who worked in the early 15th century. He worked in the Lombardy region of Italy and is known for his work on illuminated manuscripts as well as frescoes and panel paintings. One of his most famous works is a cycle of frescoes in the church of Santa Maria della Passione in Milan, depicting scenes from the life of Christ. The frescoes are notable for their vivid colours and detailed depictions of figures and landscapes. Anovelo also worked as a manuscript illuminator, creating intricate and ornate designs for books and other documents.
