Summary

This photo represents the formal signing of the agreement between the Friends of Bon Echo and Ontario Parks. Impetus for the Friends group came from the Park Superintendent Ed Buck who approached the Pioneer Club of Cloyne asking them to consider the formation of a support group. The challenge was accepted. The signing of the official agreement between the Friends and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources took place in a ceremony in September 1988 at the Dollywood Visitor Centre...Sitting at the desk was Fran Sowden (President of the Friends of Bon Echo), Jim Anderson(left) and Ed Buck (Bon Echo Park Superintendent).
