Sgt. Ian Anderson, a 22-year-old native of Gresham, Ore., performs practical application for head, neck and spinal injuries in the water on Sgt. Michael Hesser, a 23-year-old native of Bucks County, Pa., during the Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival Course at Marine Corps Base Camp Johnson, N.C., March 5, 2013. Anderson, an intelligence specialist with Camp Lejeune and Hesser, a bulk fuel specialist, are both students at the three-week MCIWS course.
