TRUJILLO, Honduras (Aug. 31, 2015) Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Amberlynn Lanni, left, a native of Greenville, S.C., assigned to the USS Somerset (LPD 25) and a volunteer with the non-governmental organization (NGO) University of California San Diego Pre-Dental Society (UCSD-PDS), gives fluoride treatments to students during a community relations event at CEB Jairo Ayala School in support of Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15). UCSD-PDS volunteers are working alongside other NGOs and joint-military personnel during CP-15. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
