Retired Army Spc. Luis Puertas celebrates as he crosses the finish line first in the men’s 1,500 meter (above the knee single and double amputee) race at the Warrior Games held at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., May 14, 2013. The Warrior Games is a weeklong annual event pitting 260 wounded, ill or injured service members from across the Department of Defense and United Kingdom against each other.
