Summary

Français : Volet de retable (volet de droite d'un retable de l'Annonciation, seul panneau conservé, auteur inconnu), exécuté vers 1410, peinture à l'huile sur chêne. Derrière l'archange Gabriel, Sainte Marie-Madeleine et le commanditaire de l'oeuvre, Pierre de Wissant, chanoine et chantre de la cathédrale de Laon. Il tient le bâton de chantre (le Tau), insigne de sa fonction. Le retable était destiné à orner la chapelle de la cathédrale où il avait été autorisé à se faire enterrer.
