Sir Francis Burdett, at the head of a procession of vagabonds, canvassing for the vote of a prosperous fishmonger who puffs on his pipe; on placards held by the followers 'Vote for your consistent candidate!' and 'Vote of the real Reformer [with his head upside down], and 'Vote for him who has always been a Tory!'. May 1837
