DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF TUMOURS OF BONE 187 and there is an absence of trabeculse. The bone around is denser, and thereis generally a deposit of new bone. Hydatid Cyst.—This is very rare in this country, though it should alwaysbe kept in mind when considering obscure conditions. It shows as a sharply-rounded area less dense than bone.
