The Queen prevented by illness, Prince Albert, with the Prince of Wales , visit London on the occasion of the opening of the new Coal Exchange in Lower Thames Street on 30 October 1849. They embarked at Whitehall Stairs and disembarked at the landing stage of London Bridge.
