Queen Noor, the Queen of Jordan, arrived at Tuzla Air base, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, during Operation JOINT ENDEAVOR (the multi-national peacekeeping mission in Bosnia) to attend a Womens conference held to bring awareness to the plight of the women of Serbenica who were forced to leave their homes. The fate of their husbands and sons are unknown; they are believed to be dead and buried in mass graves. The conference was also to show solidarity of the women of Bosnia and the world.
