Clement, President of the Pennsylvania Railroad, today told the Senate Rail Inquiry that there had never been any objection from the Interstate Commerce Commission to salaries paid Directors of the road. At the same time, Clement admitted that his own salary had been increased from $60,000 to $100,000 on January 1, 1937.
