The LCAC is manned by sailors from ACU 4, homeported at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Va., and is embarked aboard multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan. The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supports maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th fleet area of responsibility.
