Pedro Trains to Fight Forest Fires
Summary
An HH-46E helicopter of Marine Transport Squadron 1 drops 250 gallons of water over tree tops as its crew practices fighting fires, Oct. 6. The squadron maintains at least one HH-46E and a crew on standby in case of emergencies at all times. Before squadron members can go on any rescue missions, they must pass the squadron’s own unique training regimen.
