Summary
PACIFIC OCEAN (June 5, 2015) – Merchant marine crew members aboard the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) secure a rescue boat to its davit after conducting small boat operations. Mercy is currently underway off the coast of Fiji as part of Pacific Partnership 2015. Now in its 10th iteration, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. In addition to training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership has provided medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
