Arabian Gulf (Jul. 22, 2004) Ordnancemen assigned to the Blue Blasters of Strike Fighter Squadron Three Four (VFA-34) move a skid of air-to-air AIM-7 Sea Sparrow radar guided missiles across the flight deck aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) as the ship steams through the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Kennedy is currently supporting Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the deployment of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat capability across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
