Observing Red River flood damages
Summary
FARGO, N.D. - Petty Officer 1st Class Matt High, from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, observes the damages left in the wake of the Red River floods March 29, 2009, while conducting an over flight of the area in an HH-65 Dolphin helicopter. During the over-flight, the helicopter crew searched for people in distress and was available to respond immediately, incase of an emergency. Helicopter crews from New Orleans, Detroit and Houston have also responded to assist search and rescue operations. (Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 3rd Class Erik Swanson)
