Summary
Oates shown twice: to left standing in the pillory beneath a label reading "Perjury, Perjury", wearing a striped gown and with broken eggs on the board around his head; to right, he is stripped to the waist and flogged at the tail of a horse-drawn cart; in the background a devil sits on top of a gallows holding a noose. 1685
