Vice President Dick Cheney gave the commencement address to Nine hundred-eighty Midshipmen who where later sworn in as Navy Ensigns or Marine Corps Second Lieutenants. The Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Mullen and Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corp Gen. Robert Magnus administered the Oath of Office at the 156th traditional graduation ceremony.
