The story of rapid transit (1903) (14597097389)
Värnamo station. Halmstad-Nässjö Järnväg, HNJ. Första stationshuset byggdes 1877 och revs 1995 för att det stod i vägen för en planerad vägkorsning. Första lokstallet byggdes 1875 men revs 1894 och ett nytt byggdes på annan plats på bangården. Ett nytt stationshus byggdes 1899 av Skånes-Smålands Järnväg, SSJ men byggnaden användes aldrig som järnvägsstation då SSj och HNJ enades om att använda HNJ station. 1902 byggdes ett nytt gemensamt stationshus vid godsmagasinet. 1903 anslöts Borås- Alvesta, BAJ hit och då byggdes ett nytt godsmagasin som bekostades av BAJ. Detta magasin tillbyggdes 1918 och 1935. HNJs gamla stationshus flyttades 1902 och blev bostads- och överliggningshus.
