Navy personnel from the Navy International Programs Office, Washington, distribute wreaths to volunteers during the Wreaths Across America event at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. Dec. 15, 2012. Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to expand the annual Arlington National Cemetery event that had been instituted in 1992 by Morril Worcester. This year the organization will place 406,000 wreaths at 815 locations in all 50 states and national veterans cemeteries around the world honoring the sacrifices service members have made for their country.
