description

Summary

KEY WEST, Fla. (Jun. 20, 2019) Naval Air Station Key West's MH-60 Sea Hawk search and rescue helicopter is the first aircraft to take advantage of the newly installed pantograph hot refueling system at NAS Key West's Boca Chica Field. The hot pit operations allow helicopters and jets to refuel while the aircraft is still running, reducing response time and lessening wear and tear on the aircraft. Naval Air Station Key West is the state-of-the-art facility for combat fighter aircraft of all military services, provides world-class pierside support to U.S. and foreign naval vessels, and is the premier training center for surface and subsurface military operations.
