They wear traditional dress, including feathered headdresses. Some have feathered poles or shields. The image is scratched. There are several notes in different hands on verso. The topmost in black ink reads “Ghost Dance, Lame Deer, Montana”. Underneath this, a note in red ink reads: “Preceded the final surrender of Indians-Sitting Bull”.
