Clifford "Cliff" Henderson (1896-1984) was one of the early organizers of the National Air Races, and managed the races from 1928 through 1939. He and his brother were also the founders of Palm Desert. The mission of the Library and Archives at the San Diego Air &and Space Museum is to identify, acquire, preserve and make available for research published, documentary and visual materials that chronicle the development of aerospace technology and experience.
