Museum Volunteer Jim Leuci, MCPO, USN (Ret.) is pictured presenting a historical presentation entitled “First Class to Chief:1887-2019” for new Chief Petty Officer Selectees at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum’s Annex Building and Special Collections Facility aboard Naval Station Norfolk. Leuci is the author of “A Tradition of Change: CPO Initiations to CPO 365” (2015) and “History of the Chief: Legacy of Excellence” (2014). A group of 25 CPO Selectees from VAW-120, VRC-40, VAW-124, VAW-126, VAW-123, and the Airborne Command & Control and Logistics Weapons School were in attendance. The museum is one of the Navy Museum within the Naval History and Heritage Command; and hosts historical presentations throughout the year for area commands.
