Mike Nally, a combat journalist, takes a rubbing on the Moving Wall of the name of U.S. Army 1st. Lt. Noel Laplante, who was killed in Vietnam in 1971. Nally and Laplante where friends in school. The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and is on display in Garden Grove, Calif., Oct. 6-10. It contains the names of 58,267 service personnel missing or killed in the Vietnam War, of which 41 are the names of service members from Garden Grove. The exhibit is open 24-hours a day.
