Members of the U.S. Navy Drill Team perform for spectators
Summary
Members of the U.S. Navy Drill Team perform for spectators at Martin State Airport prior to the start of The Star-Spangled Spectacular Air Show featuring the Navy's Flight Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels. The air show was part of the City of Baltimore's Star Spangled Spectacular, an event celebrating the bicentennial of the Battle of Baltimore which provided the backdrop for Francis Scott Key's famous poem, "Defence of Fort McHenry," which later became America's national anthem. More than 30 ships from the U.S. and foreign nations, and the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels aircraft were on display and open to the public.(U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Amy Kirk/Released)
