Members of the Oklahoma National Guard's 63rd Civil Support Team received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the Oklahoma National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters in Oklahoma City, on Jan 6.

The men and women of the 63rd work along side other first responders when the presence of a chemical, biological or nuclear hazard is suspected. The 63rd has the ability to identify and mitigate most chemical, biological or nuclear threats.

Since March 2020, the 63rd has been on the frontlines in the battle against COVID-19, providing support to communities throughout the state. They are credited with the decontamination of dozens of long-term care facilities, potentially saving the lives of hundreds of Oklahoma’s elderly.
