Summary
Members from the U.S. Disaster Management Exchange visited People's Liberation Army 77208 Earthquake Response Team Nov. 28 in Yunnan, China. Response team members showcased their rescue equipment and conducted a well-orchestrated demonstration of their capabilities. The DME is an annual U.S. Army Pacific Security Cooperation Event with the People's Republic of China and the PLA. The DMEs with China began in 1998 with actual visits beginning in 2005. Members from the DME visited Beijing, Kunming, and Chengdu during their visit Nov. 26 - Dec. 2.
