Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary

description

Summary

Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast rope into the Governor Ricardo J. Bordallo Complex as part of Realistic Urban Training Exercise (RUTEX), at Asan, Guam, Feb. 2, 2017. RUTEX is designed to give the reconnaissance elements of the 31st MEU a chance to refine their urban operations capabilities as part of pre-deployment training before departing for a regularly scheduled patrol of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region later this year. As the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed unit, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's air-ground-logistics team provides a flexible force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations, from limited combat to humanitarian assistance operations, throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
