Summary
Marines unload their weapons and equipment to board USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2) on May 27, 2016 in Darwin, Australia to complete Task Force Koa Moana with Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force before setting sail to train with military force in Fiji, Tonga, Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste. Throughout the deployment the Marines and Sailors with the task force will share infantry, law enforcement and engineering skills with the host nations to strengthen relationships and interoperability in the Asia-Pacific region.
