Marine Lance Cpl. Hans Hetrick, an Atlanta native, assigned to the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force from Indian Head, Md., conducts gamma radiation detection using Point Detection Radiation 77 equipment during Vibrant Response 11.1, a large-scale multi-agency training exercise held March 11-19, in central Indiana, where local, state and federal authorities trained in recovery operations to save lives, prevent further injury, and provide critical support to enable community recovery from a catastrophic incident.
