MAJ. Skip Davenport, 8th Special Operations Squadron (8th SOS), hugs his pen pal, Nichole Doehring, following his arrival on base. Davenport and other members of the 8th SOS corresponded with first grade students from Stewardson-Strasburg School while stationed in the Persian Gulf area during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Now that they have returned from deployment, the men have traveled to Illinois to meet and spend a day with their pen pals
