LTC Roger Smith, a dental pathologist with the 316th Air Division, discusses dental X-rays with a member of the Air Force Institute of Pathology. The two men are part of a joint team of Ethiopian and American specialists is attempting to identify the remains of aircraft crash victims including Texas Rep. George T. (Mickey) Leland. The remains were discovered following a three-day search and rescue mission which had been initiated after the plane transporting Leland and 15 other people was reported missing en route to a refugee camp near the Sudanese border
