Letter from Samuel May, Leicester, [Mass.], to Richard Davis Webb, March 22, 1862
Summary
May sends a list of the European subscribers to "The Liberator" and the "National Anti-Slavery Standard" to Alfred Webb. He discusses subscription rates. May criticizes General George B. McLellan and says that the Secretary of State, William Henry Seward, sent a note to the English government about the Mason and Slidell incident which was withheld from publication. May also sends some financial accounts.
