Letter from Samuel May, Boston, to Richard Davis Webb, Feb. 4, 1851
Summary
May comments on the fact that the abolitionists "are scattered about, up and down, upon the face of the earth!" He thinks it is better than to have them all collected together in one place. May tells Webb that he is sending a box of pamphlets and reports before he berates Daniel Webster, Moses Stuart, and Orville Dewey "for their cunning and villainy."
