Summary
In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, George Thompson "report[s] progress" at "our last council meeting", including hiring a "Mr. Smith" and passing "some resolutions of importance". He tells Garrison that he was invited by the City of Norwich "to go down to a great Meeting in St. Andrew's Hall next week" where he has "no doubt we shall have a large muster." Thompson tells Garrison that Frederick Douglass "is also wanted at Norwich". He then pleads with Garrison not to "fail to be at Wrexham on the 9th[.] It is of imporance" and repeats "Don't fail me", adding that "Douglass must be there too and Wright if possible."
