Summary
Ellis Gray Loring writes to William Lloyd Garrison informing him that he was "by an unanimous vote, elected a member of the Franklin Debating Society." Loring continues to state that the next meeting will be "public, at Chauncey Hall" the following Wednesday. In the postscript, he adds that "members-elect" who wish to join the society must make a written request to the secretary.
