The National Bibliothek in Vienna, the department Kartensammlung holds a collection of 399 watercolor landscape paintings, which were donated in 1824 Emperor Francis I during his visit to Hradec Kralove. Jan Venuto studied in the years 1763-1768 in Olomouc, where he went to Kroměříže. May 28, 1768 he was ordained a deacon. Before departure from Moravia in 1783 drew maps Moravian Margrave. After coming to Hradec 1790 map made by the Hradec diocese. The National Gallery in Prague holds four Venuto watercolor drawings and engravings: Častolovice, Helfštejn, Rough Rock and Křinec. The Regional Museum in the Czech Budejovice has retained one of his sketchbooks.
