JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 10, 2015) – Students from Darnell-Cookman Middle/High School of the Medical Arts observe Hospitalman Brandon Hawkins (far left) and Ensign Rochelle Bailey perform a cardiac screening on a newborn at Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville’s maternal infant unit. The Darnell-Cookman students are participating in the hospital’s annual Science, Service, Medicine and Mentoring (S2M2) program—an intense five-day internship program where selected students participate in workshops, clinical rotations and job shadowing with NH Jacksonville clinicians.
