Iraqi army Col. Paratroopers with 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 8nd Airborne Division live within the 1st IA compound, making it easier for the soldiers to work and train together. As one of the few units to have taken part in every major campaign of the U.S. military's operations in Iraq, the 2nd AAB has been tasked with ensuring that the Iraqi Security Forces are able to maintain a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi people.
