[Hurricane Katrina/Hurricane Rita] Baton Rouge, LA, May 24, 2006 -- Activity on the main floor at the Louisiana State Emergency Operations Center in Baton Rouge. Emergency support factions engage in a 2 day, full-scale exercise to simulate the pre and post landfall of a hurricane. FEMA is funding this exercise with the intent of testing recently revised emergency procedures as local, state, federal and private entities participate to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of these plans in preparation for the 2006 hurricane season.
