Mercy is currently off the coast of Alor, Indonesia to provide humanitarian assistance and focus medical care to thousands of people displaced by a magnitude 7.3 earthquake that struck Nov. 11, 2004. While ashore, Mercy's crew will focus on public health, primary care, dental treatment, preventive medicine, health education and pharmaceutical support.
